Children of One - Charitable Trust for Widows and Orphans: Governance Plan & Compliance
Mission
Children of One is dedicated to empowering widowed parents and their children by providing comprehensive support in education, housing, and emotional well-being. Our aim is to foster resilience, self-sufficiency, and emotional well-being through personalized, focused, and economically viable remedies. Our ultimate goal, is to ensure that any child and their widowed parent can navigate their new circumstances confidently and build a brighter future for themselves.
Conflict
1. Lack of Access to Necessary Resources
The sudden loss of a primary spousal earner leads to economic and psychological instability. Widowed adults are eligible for assistance but have not availed themselves of the help they need.
2. Stifled Facilitation of Further Steps
Arduous processes are overwhelming for emotionally vulnerable individuals. Enrollees face coverage gaps within a short time-frame due to procedural barriers.
3. Challenges in Maintaining Literacy
Unfamiliar circumstances stifle learning and growth. Children in grieving families experience a decline in academic performance within the first year of their parent’s death.
Solution
1. Case Managers
Introduce a learned “guide" to every applicant who will showcase every family’s options.
2. Shared Initiatives
Establish collaborations with educational institutions, housing authorities, and relevant social .
3. Vocational Training
To direct vocational training and skill-building for an improvement in employability and job retention.
Resolution
Job placement for the parent and financial independence for their children as well.
Improved Gross National Happiness (GNH) and emotional support through counseling.
A more resilient economy and enhanced productive potential through ensuring consistency with education.
